His Holiness Swamiji plants his 25th World Peace Tree in Linz, Austria

On May 18, 2009, His Holiness Swamiji planted a "World Peace Mammut Tree", in Linz, capital city of the Federal Province Upper Austria. In a beautiful ceremony in presence of Town Councillor Mrs. Susanne Wegscheider and 1st Secretary of the Indian Embassy at Vienna, Mr. Aggarwal, Swamiji planted the 25th World Peace Tree in the park in front of the new central railway station of the "Peace City" Linz.

His Holiness Swamiji honoured by the Governor of the Federal Province Salzburg, and the Mayor of the City of Salzburg, Austria

On 15 May 2009, the Federal Province and the City of Salzburg, Austria, bestowed extraordinary honours and acknowledgement upon His Holiness Swamiji. In the beautiful historical Mirabell Castle, residence of the Communal and the Provincial Government of Salzburg, H. H. Swamiji and a group of his followers from Austria were welcomed cordially by Mrs. Burgstaller, Governor of the Federal Province and Mr. Schaden, Mayor of the City of Salzburg.

H. E. Stjepan Mesic, President of the Republic of Croatia met H. H. Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda

At the end of his two-day visit to Zagreb, capital of the Republic of Croatia, His Holiness Vishwaguruji met with Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Wednesday, December 19, 2007. His Excellency Rajiva Misra, Ambassador of India to Croatia, and Mr. Budimir Loncar, former Yugoslavian Minister of Foreign Affairs and present Special Advisor to the President, were present at this meeting and were talking for almost one hour in a congenial atmosphere. President Mesic had a warm conversation with H. H. Vishwaguruji, sharing with him many ideas and plans.

International day of Peace: Planting of a World Peace Tree in Austria

On September 21, 2007, the United Nations International Day of Peace, His Holiness Paramhans Swami Maheshwaranandaji planted a World Peace Tree and inaugurated a Peace Memorial Stone in a beautiful park in Vienna, Austria. Several dignities from politics and religion attended this function, among them Mr. Adolf Tiller (District Director), Dr. Bimal Kundu (head of the Indian Community in Vienna), Pater Elmar (Catholic parish priest) and Mrs. Windsteig (Vienna City Government).

Meeting with Croatian President, Zagreb April 2007

His Holiness Swamiji started His four-day visit to Croatia with meeting Croatian President Stjepan Mesic in his office on Thursday, April 19. President Mesic accepted Swamiji's invitation to participate in the 6th World Peace Summit organised in Slovakia by the ”Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council“. In light of discussions about activities in the sphere of world peace and multiculturalism, the 100th anniversary of the Satya Graha movement of Mahatma Gandhi was especially focused on during the meeting between the President and Peace Ambassador. The Croatian President asked about progress of the school in Jadan and construction of the Om Ashram and has promised to pay a return visit to Jadan Ashram during his next stay in India, in 2009.
